Dr Grordbort's Invaders - Various Rayguns

A collection of some of the rayguns i had the privileged to work on for the Magic Leap game; Dr Grordbort's Invaders. I completed the final in-game asset (5-6k verts per gun), as well as the Highpoly and Baking for the assets, and some light rigging and animation. Initial conceptual design by Greg Broadmore, and mesh blockout by Steve Lambert. Textures were done by Stu Thomas.

This beaut was the first gun i got to model up properly - at the time i was a fresh face at Weta and had a lot to learn! This Raygun got redone and re-textured too many times to count - this is the final version.

A custom skin for the waveblaster i got to do as an in-game unlockable.

One of my favourite designs, i was lucky enough that we had physical copies of this gun to scale that i used as a reference to model this.

This raygun was created as a solution to grab objects that are out of reach - it fires the grapple hook out and retracts in.

This design i chopped and screwed from the large rifle version that existed already, no initial designs were created so i made this one up. Joel Savage did the lions share of high poly modelling with this one, and i ended up doing some tweaks and fixes.
